Tiles into arcgisonline
Hello:
We would like to include a raster image as basemap into an
arcgisonline aplicaciton.
Is there anyway to do this using arc2earth?
We tried to do it with a kml superoverlay but this short of item is
not recogniced by arcgisonline.
Thanks!

in the near future, Arc2Earth Sync will allow you to create tile caches and host them online. These would then be available as tile caches in ArcGIS.com as well
also, when avaialble, the tile created by table providers in Sync will also be used (CartoDB, EarthBuilder etc)
You will need to wait until this feature is available in Sync but its coming fairly soon

Thank you about info.
Other question, is possible to use tiles generated with arc2earth into arcgisonline? We are developing an simple viewer with arcgis java api, storing data in an arcgis online account, and we are having problems with the imposibility to serve rasters without an arcgis server...

yes, this will be available but it's not in the current beta. You will be able to create a basemap tile cache from any Mxd or any layer and then have it hosted online for use in ArcGIS.com, Google Maps, OpenLayers, etc
if the Mxd or layer used for the tile cache contains a Sync table layer, then as edits occur to that layer locally or online, the tile cache is patched and updated automatically. (this uses Arc2earth's tile exporter and inclusion masks for efficiency, only the area that are dirty will get updated)
I hope to have this out soon.
alos, fwiw, I thought ArcGIS Online accounts allowed you upload tile caches?

Hello:
I started this question 2 moth ago, is not too much time but maybe things are different now.
Is already possible creating a tile map for using into Arcgisonline?
ArcgisOnline for organizations have just arrive and it can host tiles, but is quite expensive for a small company as ours.

hello
this has progressed a lot since then but is still in private beta. Also, it will start with only individual tile caches for your tables. We'll then be adding in the custom tile caches for any MXD. Expect an announcement in about 2 weeks
How expensive was AGOL for you dataset?

Hello:
AGO data prices plan start at 4166 per year (in my country, US are quite cheaper), so it's a lot of money for my expected usage....
Please, inform us when it becomes avaliable in order to take a look to your product!
Thanks!

Thank you for your quick answer.
Do you have any idea about when do you plan to have this feature?
Also would like to make another question regard to subscriptions. Maybe we will start next month a project in wich we could use your platform to publish our data. I think tath project development will take 5-6 months, and for this time we could suscribe to your sync product. After project is completed It's supposed that we will have a web map viewer as a result. Do we have to keep the suscription alive in order to keep layers avaliable in the viewer? It is possible that we keep our subscription beacause probably we will need it to more projects, but it is a important question in a long term view.
Thank you, and congrats for your extension, we are testing your beta and it looks great!

hello jose
thank you for the feedback, glad you liking the beta
1) MXD tile caches - we're calling these Base Maps and this will not go out
until we finish some integration with the folks at MapBox.com. so, probably
about one month
2) yes, if you want to keep serving data/service/viewers you will need to
keep your subscription current.
cheers
